Apps

Connect the tools your team works in. Your AI and your Scheduled Procedures can then read them, through operations CompanyOS curates.

An App is a tool connected to your Workspace, such as SharePoint Online, Recruit CRM, or your Microsoft 365 mailbox. Once connected, your AI can discover it with find_apps and use it with call_app, and Scheduled Procedures can read from it. The web app calls these connections Integrations.

Available Apps

App Who connects How What your AI can do
SharePoint Online Owner, for the Workspace Sign in with Microsoft, then pick the sites to bring in Syncs the selected sites’ documents into Files, so search and your AI cover them
Recruit CRM Owner, for the Workspace Connect from its row in Integrations Look up candidates, jobs, companies, and contacts. Also powers Scheduled Procedure triggers.
Airtable Owner, for the Workspace Paste a personal access token Read records from the bases the token can see
Exa Owner, for the Workspace Paste a read-only Exa API key Search the public web for people and companies
Microsoft 365 Each Member, for themselves Sign in under Mailbox Read your mail and prepare email drafts. See Microsoft 365.

The list is fixed: CompanyOS adds Apps one at a time, each with operations it has reviewed. AI Clients never get a provider’s raw API.

Workspace and Personal Connections

  • A Workspace Connection is connected once by an Owner and shared by the Workspace. Every Member’s AI can use its operations.
  • A Personal Connection belongs to one Member. The credentials, and anything read through it, stay with that Member. The Microsoft 365 mailbox is a Personal Connection.

Read-only by default

Every App is read-only to AI Clients, with one exception: Microsoft 365 can create email drafts, which you review and send yourself from Outlook. CompanyOS never sends email from Microsoft 365, and never changes records in your other tools.

Reconnect and disconnect

A connection shows Reconnect when its sign-in has expired. Until someone reconnects, its operations stop working for that scope only. An Owner reconnects a Workspace Connection; a Member reconnects their own.

If the connection was removed on the provider’s side, the row shows Connect again. Start a new connection.

Connections are brokered by Nango, which CompanyOS runs itself; credentials are stored encrypted and never shown to an AI Client.
